We are recruiting for experienced managers and senior managers to join the multi-award winning Entrepreneurial Tax Team of an established firm. These are exciting roles that provide the opportunity to undertake challenging work with prestige clients. The firm's tax department is one of the largest outside the big four in Scotland and works with a broad range of clients, delivering the highest quality service.

Your new role

The firm has opportunities in the following advisory areas: - Share schemes - M&A tax - Investments - Restructuring - Tax legal services

Your responsibilities, which will vary depending on your specialist area, may include:

* Advising your clients, external or internal, regarding tax consequences of proposed transactions
* Providing advice on various share schemes and managing their delivery to clients
* Drafting and reviewing share option agreements
* Providing advice on SEIS/EIS/VCT matters to clients
* Drafting and negotiating tax clearances with HMRC
* Providing Stamp taxes advisory and completion of clearance applications
* Drafting and reviewing Tax Deeds/Covenants and advising on Tax Warranties
* Negotiating Tax Deeds/Covenants from a buy or sell side with the other party's advisors
* Ad hoc tax advisory as required
* Active involvement in seeking out Business Development opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed

They are looking for someone with 3-10 years PQE, most likely in a Big 4/Top 10 firm, seeking an opportunity to use their skills in a fast-paced environment, and willing to learn and operate as part of a dynamic team.

* Ability to learn and adapt quickly
* Ability to plan and deliver work to tight deadlines
* Excellent communication skills
* Interest in career development/progression
* A team player and an experienced people manager
* Ability to explain technical issues
* Experience of liaising with HMRC on clearances and negotiating results for your clients.
