Head of Tax – In-House, Housing, to £120k + leading bonus

My client are currently searching for an experienced tax professional to join the company’s growing tax team as Head of Tax. This is an opportunity to work for one of the biggest names within the housing sector, overseeing a period of planned expansion.

Responsibilities:
- Providing strategy for all tax matters, working closely with the CFO, the wider tax team and advisors to establish a plan and manage risk
- Providing advice to the group on a wide range of tax related issues
- Ensuring all tax obligations are met and submitted in an efficient and timely fashion
- Management of a growing team, guaranteeing thorough support and aiding their professional development
- Liaising with advisors and the wider finance team on various projects
- Communicating legislation changes and their impact upon compliance and strategy, including providing explanation of this to non-tax people and shareholders.

Requirements:

- ACA/CTA/ACCA Qualified or HMRC trained would be beneficial but not required
- An understanding of tax within industry
- Applicants should be highly strategic and analytical, with a thorough grasp of technology
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage a growing team
- Expert knowledge of tax, especially within the UK.
