Role can be based in Zurich, Switzerland or Berlin, Germany.
Germany is one of the largest markets in this global pharmaceutical company and the Tax Manager, Germany, will advise on the company’s tax position in Germany and pro-actively manage the relationship with the German tax authorities on a federal, regional and local level.
This would really suit someone with a good accounting background, who speaks German and wants to develop their tax skills. The role reports to the Regional Tax Leader, based in Zurich and she will be on hand to help train you.
There will be a focus on tax compliance, tax accounting and managing tax audits. The role also advises the Head of Finance Germany and actively educates business partners on relevant changes in tax rules with material impact on the business. Other duties include oversight of Austria.
German corporate tax (at least 5 years) as well as tax accounting experience from either a Big 4 firm or the in-house tax department of a multinational company is required. SAP experience would be an asset but this is something that can be learned.
