Personal Tax Assistant, Chester, to £25k

Personal Tax Assistant working for a independent general practice based in the centre of Chester.

Your new firm
Your new firm are a well established 2 office independent accountancy practice, with their main office located in centre of Chester. A classic general practice, they offer a range of business services including accounts, audit, tax, payroll and bookkeeping services. A growing outfit, the firm currently has 18 across its two offices, being run by 3 experienced and down to earth directors. Due to consistent growth over the past 6 - 12 months this firm are now looking at expanding their tax team with a Personal Tax Assistant / junior to support the current Tax Manager.

Your new role
In your role as a Personal Tax Assistant you will be supporting the current Tax Manager on mainly a large personal tax portfolio of 500-600 tax clients. You will be preparing, reviewing and submitting personal tax returns, with the support of the current tax manager. You will also get involved with and support ad hoc planning / advisory opportunities in the portfolio. As you progress you will likely take ownership of your own portfolio and be the go to person for your clients tax needs. Again the portfolio is a mixed one, made of up a range of directors, sole traders and HNWIs. Within this role you will also be supported through your study, whatever stage you may already be at.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you need to have some personal tax experience, ideally getting involved in the preparation of personal tax returns. You need to have minimum of 1 years experience working in personal tax, with UK clients. It would also be desirable if you have started to complete some of your studies.
