This role would be ideal for you if you have experience in UK tax and are seeking an opportunity where, alongside study, you can expand your responsibilities and develop into an owner of all aspects of UK direct taxes. The Central Tax Team are responsible for providing strategic tax advice, implementing tax policies, managing tax risk and ensuring / monitoring adherence to tax compliance obligations across the International firm.
Your new role
Income tax computations.
* Prepare / review the UK income tax analyses and finalise for manager review, together with specific issues for clarification
Capital allowances computations.
* Prepare / review the UK capital allowances calculations and finalise for manager review, together with specific issues for clarification
Corporate taxation:
* Prepare corporation tax computations for UK companies
Periodic / Year-end tasks:
* Assist with the yearly budgeting process
Tax risk management:
* Assist with the development and maintenance of tax risk management processes and controls
* Various ad-hoc work responsibilities, including project work and tax risk assessments, process and reduction
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience of working in tax and be able to apply that existing knowledge and experience to new situations / scenarios
* The Central Tax Team are looking for either a Tax Assistant or a Senior Tax Assistant. Candidates who have completed their ATT qualification or are part qualified ACCA, ACA or CTA, would be eligible to join at the Senior Tax Assistant grade
* Demonstrate a flexible and collaborative personal working style
* Be able to build and maintain strong relationships across all levels within the organization
* Have the interpersonal skills to work as part of a larger team to deliver seamless services to the partnership
