R&D Manager working for a well established accountancy firm in Manchester
Your new firm
Your new firm is a strong independent practice, looking to break into the top 100 in the next 2 years. Over the last 5 years they have doubled in size and have a real entrepreneurial sense around how they operate. They offer the full range of general practice services, but are geared towards specialist tax advice. In terms of clients they tend to work with a range of owner managed business, HNWIs and investors. Due to growth over the last 18 months they are now looking to bring in a seasoned R&D professional.
Your new role
Working as an R&D Manager you will work within the tax advisory team supporting the tax director based in Manchester. You will form part of a key growth strategy and help drive R&D across the firm. You will manage a range of complex R&D claims, working with clients in construction, manufacturing, digital and technology. As well as working on R&D claims there is also the option to develop your management skills and build a team around you
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you need to come from a strong R&D background having 3-4 years prior experience working in an R&D advisory role. Ideally you will be ATT/CTA/ACA qualified and be confident delivering work as well as getting involved in management and business development.
