Head of VAT (part time)

Your new company
A young, entrepreneurial, ambitious tax biased firm of chartered accountants, providing a wide range of compliance and advisory services to OMBs, entrepreneurs and private clients, is looking to recruit a Part-time Head of VAT to join their established tax team.

Your new role
They would like someone to join 3 or 4 days/week to take the VAT work off the Partners and be the VAT specialist for the firm. The work is predominantly of an advisory nature - providing technical VAT advice to a varied mix of clients and liaising & negotiating with HM Revenue & Customs. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for the delivery and development of VAT services for the firm's client-base and beyond.

You will be given full support and access from the Partner group to meet clients and use the firm's marketing resources to develop further business. This is an excellent opportunity to build your own business in a supportive and forward-thinking partnership.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a genuine desire to be part of a rapidly growing team, underpinned by the enthusiasm and drive to develop the business and their own learning. You will have at least five years' experience advising clients in a similar capacity and an ability to generate new business.
