In-House VAT Manager. Remote or Multiple Locations in UK

Working for a large UK Headquartered Group, this is a newly created role taking ownership over indirect tax and reporting to the Head of Tax. The role has a broad remit with a mix of compliance management and advisory / project work. Key responsibilities include:

* Ownership over the compliance to ensure returns / payments are submitted accurately and on time
* Maintain the relationship with HMRC and be the point of contact regarding any indirect tax matters
* Provide the business with guidance on any legislative changes, support with M&A projects and any tax projects from an indirect tax perspective
* Drive technology and process improvements and implementation

This is an exciting time to join the business and are looking for someone who will enjoy putting their own mark on indirect tax and be proactive in identifying and implementing new ideas and solutions to maximise opportunity and reduce risk. The location of the role is highly flexible as they have offices throughout the UK from Southampton to Newcastle and can accommodate remote working.
