Unusual Tax Accountant role
The successful candidate will have varied experience of tax, ideally employment taxes and an awareness of taxes in general (not purely processing VAT returns). The role has a global element. We are not expecting the person to have experience of global taxes, because every country is so different and no one person could know every tax in the world. However, an awareness of how employment taxes in particular work and what the triggers are for when a review into the employment tax would be necessary if possible.
This person will be expected to be the first port of call when a client is considering employing someone based overseas, or when a client has a request for an existing member of staff to relocate overseas. You will need to consider the information provided as part of the request and determine whether there are any risks to the taxation or whether the advice is to proceed - and so make a recommendation. You will also have external professional advice at your fingertips.
Whilst someone with an employment tax background is preferred, we do understand that this may not be possible, so we would be happy to also consider qualified accountants or Part Qualifieds (ACCA, ACA) or QBE Accountants, or part or fully qualified CTA's/ATT's or AAT's with a varied tax background across corporate tax/VAT - as long as you are someone who can think on your feet and are keen to develop in a different type of tax role.
What you'll get in return
An interesting "different" type of role in taxation - great benefits including hybrid working and flexible working. Generous holidays and pension.
