Experienced VAT Indirect Tax Manager accountancy practice in Winchester
You will be working for an award-winning leading firm of Accountants and Business Advisers operating across the UK and the Nordics.
As VAT Manager you will be responsible for leading the day to day duties of your team. You will need to support all levels of team members with their technical research, reviewing their work and ensuring clients are managed not only efficiently but effectively with proactive ad reactive advice. You will also be managing a portfolio of more complex clients, through investigations and beyond, to provide peace of mind and technical support when they need it most. You will be encouraged to network with wider VAT teams within the business to ensure you are working on a National level to service clients and keep technical expertise current.
It is likely that you will be 'qualified by experience' and have exposure to the practical application of VAT and different business sectors, preferably gained within another accountancy practice. You will need to have experience of a client focused/customer facing role and be able to demonstrate proactivity and be able to take the initiative in exploring development opportunities. This will be both a local and national role, so you should be prepared for regular travel rather than being solely desk based or home based and you will be required to work as part of the local and national VAT team and interact with colleagues around the country as well as partners overseas.
