Tax Senior
KPMG in Bermuda serves an international personal client base. Our Tax practice provides a full range of tax compliance, planning and advisory services to the focused needs of high net wealth U.S. persons living in Bermuda, globally mobile executives, non-U.S. persons investing in the U.S., and to U.S. beneficiaries of Bermuda Trusts. We are looking for a Tax Senior to support us in maintaining our reputation as a leader in U.S. Tax services both in Bermuda and globally.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
• Provide U.S. tax compliance and advisory services to a variety of clients;
• Assist in advising clients on complex tax issues, transactions, and structuring; and
• Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge in areas of relevance to our clients, including the U.S. domestic and international tax provisions applicable to high net worth U.S. persons overseas, globally mobile U.S. persons, non-U.S. trusts, and non-U.S. individuals with U.S. investments.
Candidates must have the following qualifications, skills and attributes:
• Minimum of two years relevant experience, including a solid foundation in the general technical concepts applicable to the preparation of U.S. federal income tax returns for corporate executives, other high net worth individuals or non-U.S. trusts;
• CPA (or CPA candidate), and/or Enrolled Agent and/or Masters degree in Taxation is preferred;
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
• Proficient in the use of relevant technology, including MS Excel and tax return preparation and research software;
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Able to work in a team environment; and
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and to work significant levels of overtime during busy periods.
