Tax Manager - FTSE-100 Engineering - Aberdeen

A global design and engineering group are currently seeking a UK focussed Tax Manager to join their localised finance team. This is a newly created role to act as subject matter expert on tax reporting and compliance for the compliance team. As part of the senior management, you will also be required to assist on planning and group tax strategy.

The company is well known for having some of the best staff retention in the sector, often promoting internally to the senior finance roles. Responsibilities:

• Ownership of UK corporate tax affairs including corporate tax compliance
• Advise on all direct tax matters for the business, including corporate structuring and planning
• Assist in managing the group’s tax risk
• Year-end tax reporting
• Monitor legislative changes

Requirements:

• ACA/CTA/ADIT/ACCA qualified, preferably with a Big 4 background
• A confident team player, eager to get involved in the senior management of a leading in-house tax team
• A commercial mindset, confidence and ambition
• Up to date and proven tax technical knowledge
