Greenfield tax role with a specialist insurance underwriter.
The role
Our client is a specialist insurance provider undergoing rapid expansion in thier market. Due to this ongoing demand, the CFO is now looking to appoint a first time tax specialist. As a greenfield tax hire, you will devise and implement a robust group tax operating model. You will report directly into the CFO, with wider responsibilities including:
* Provide strategic direction and advice to management on all issues pertaining to tax.
* Creating and maintaining an effective tax strategy for the business globally.
* Manage both internal and external resources to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of tax compliance and declarations across all group companies.
* Liaise with Group Auditors and manage year end audit process, providing detail and analysis requested and responding to tax audit queries.
* Review and prepare quarterly consolidated ETR forecast and quarterly tax numbers for Group reporting.
* Manage cash tax for quarterly and year end reporting.
* Manage the Group's transfer pricing and recharging processes across all jurisdictions, together with supporting the annual documentation and notification requirements.
* Support with any M&A activity or strategic projects.
About you
* Minimum 8 years post qualified experience.
* ACA/CTA qualification preferred.
* Previous experience in insurance is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong stakeholder management skills
