The Role -Primary Responsibilities

Do you have a good understanding of Indirect Tax Technology within ERP systems, along with Best In Class Processes to deliver a seamless service? Maersk is seeking an outstanding leader to transition legacy Global Indirect Tax operations into a newly transformed and highly advanced tax compliance system.
The Role Detailed:
• A unique leadership role within the Maersk Global Tax team, to transition legacy Global Indirect Tax operations into a newly transformed and highly advanced tax compliance system.
• Use of the latest reporting technology, whilst operating Best in Class processes, to deliver accurate and timely Indirect Tax Returns for the globe.

Key Responsibilities
• You will be a key member of the Tax Operations Leadership Team, reporting to the Head of Tax Operations and Controversy.
• You are responsible for the management and control of Indirect Tax compliance operations for the 130 countries in which Maersk operates.
• You will lead a fast-growing team of tax compliance professionals, delivering a quality service to the entire Maersk Group, whilst developing a strategic vision for the future of Indirect Tax operations.
• You must ensure coordination with our outsource partners on all Indirect Tax compliance matters, whilst working closely with our dedicated tax technology team.
• You are obliged to proactively communicate and collaborate both with the Maersk tax team and stakeholders across our organization driving improvements in existing processes.
Who we are looking for
• The successful candidate will have a relevant academic degree and post graduate accounting or indirect tax qualifications.
• You have at least 10-15 years of experience in Indirect Tax Operations Leadership, working in an International Corporation.
• You have experience setting up, operating or transforming an Indirect Tax Centre of excellence, providing global compliance services.
• You have experience with ERP systems setup and the impact on indirect taxes.
• You are a strong communicator, with and excellent command of both spoken and written English.
• You possess effective project management and task prioritization skills.
• You are an internationally mobile effective team player.
Finally, you possess good social skills, are motivated, inspiring and you can handle multiple competing priorities.
