I am delighted to be assisting a modern and progressive online Tax Practice based in Devon delivering personal taxation services to private clients located worldwide, who primarily have property investments in the UK or abroad.
This is a key role within a growing and dynamic firm providing an exciting opportunity to work from home and contribute to the growth of the tax practice. In your role as Tax Manager you will primarily be exposed to private clients assisting with their compliance and helping the firm’s partners with tax advisory tasks.
In addition to previous experience in a tax practice role, you will possess an excellent technical ability, good attention to detail, the ability to build strong working relationships, and the natural ability to communicate clearly with clients.
Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, taking ownership of client relationships;
Undertake all compliance aspects associated with a portfolio of private clients, including the management of client tax queries;
Assist the firms partners with compliance and advisory work for Non-Resident taxpayers;
Advise as required on tax technical issues and be involved in technical research;
Any other ad hoc duties that may be required;
Willingness to travel to Exeter minimum one day per month.
Required Skills & Attributes:
ATT or CTA or QBE
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and provide excellent client care.
Experience in the preparation of Self Assessment tax returns, CGT returns
Experience with Non-Residents will be advantageous.
Exposure to Let Property Campaign and Worldwide Disclosure Facility would be of benefit.

This is a permanent position of 25 - 37.5 hours per week depending on the successful candidates’ requirements. Salary of 35-40,000 depending on experience, plus
30 days holiday including bank holidays, plus an additional day for each year of service;
