Tax Manager (In-house, Newly Created) - Aberdeen

A leading engineering business in the Aberdeen region is currently recruiting for a Tax Manager. This is a newly created position, fresh to the market and looking to interview as soon as possible.

This is a rare opportunity to make a move in industry with an innovative and progressive group. The company is well known for having some of the best staff retention in the sector, often promoting internally into Senior Finance roles. The position reports into an inspirational leader and has an even split of Tax Advisory and Compliance responsibilities

The business has completed on a number of large acquisitions over the past three years, giving reason to expand the back office function. If you do not have all the experience listed below, it’s still worth applying as they are flexible on the successful candidate’s profile.

Key responsibilities:

- Meet the Group’s Tax Accounting and Reporting obligations
- Manage the Group’s UK corporation tax compliance cycle
- Be a key component in tax forecasting
- Ad hoc UK tax advice
- Maintain and improve the Group’s transfer pricing documentation
- Be heavily involved on all international tax projects
- Implement and monitor process improvements

The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant with good experience of Corporate Tax. Candidates from both a practice and in-house background will be considered.
