Corporate Tax Assistant / Corporate Tax Senior, Independent CA Firm, Fife, £dependent-on-experience

Hays is delighted to be partnered with one of Scotland's leading independent CA firms to recruit for a Corporate Tax role, at either Assistant or Senior level. Working with businesses throughout Scotland, the firm offers Accounts, Audit, Tax, Business Advisory, and Wealth Management Services to a wide variety of clients of all sizes and remits, such as IT and Health Care. An innovative and supportive firm, they endeavour to self-improve by providing regular staff training, offering financial support to those undertaking relevant qualifications and trialling new means of internal operations. As advocates for staff welfare and with a sociable culture, they undertake semi-regular team and company events during normal circumstances, including bowling, crazy golf and meals out. While standard hours are 9am to 5pm, flexible working arrangements are available on a case by case basis. This role is to be completed remotely until government guidance stipulates otherwise and staff welfare can be guaranteed.

Your new role
Working in a dynamic Tax Team of approximately 8, of which 3 are Corporate Tax specialists, you will manage a varied portfolio of business clients providing compliance and ad-hoc advisory services. You will handle all regular tax compliance issues for clients, managing the work to ensure all deadlines are met where feasible; identify tax planning prospects; and support the Tax Manager with tax planning requirements and other ad-hoc projects. You will do this whilst providing high quality and efficient services, regularly maintaining contact with clients to build strong professional relationships.

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful applicant, you will have a minimum of 1 year experience specialising in tax inclusive of Corporate Tax. Or, you will have a number of years operating within General Practice, having completed Corporate Tax compliance responsibilities within your role. You will demonstrate excellent communication and organisation skills, and experience CCH software will enhance your application.
