Interim Head of Tax (Outside IR35)

We are currently recruiting for a newly created interim Head of Tax role with a growing Financial Services group. The business has been going from strength to strength, specialising specifically within the B2B space and recently completed on a large transaction.

The current in-house finance team is small yet growing, with this role reporting directly into the CFO. If successful, you will have scope to shape the tax function in it's nascent stage over an initial 6-12 months.

Responsibilities:

- Ownership of the outsourced, end-to-end CT and VAT compliance process

- Mapping out tax processes

- Creating Group Tax Strategy

- Working closely with external advisors to reduce advisory fees and commercialise the tax offering

- Advise the business on best practice for in-house tax functions

Requirements:

- ACA and/or CTA qualified with Big 4/Top Tier training plus significant PQE

- Experience of tax within a regulated FS environment

- Experience of "what good looks like" with regards to in-house tax functions

- Prior experience of implementing a tax function highly beneficial

- This role will require you to be an excellent communicator and a driver for change

This role is outside of IR-35 and is looking for an immediate starter, with a projected timeline of 6-12 months.
