In-house Assistant Tax Manager - Manchester/ Home working, to £45k + car

Great first move in-house for a qualified tax professional. In this large group the Tax Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the Group’s tax compliance obligations and managing the Group’s tax cash flows. Supporting the Head of Tax and Tax Manager, the role will encompass a mixture of tax compliance, tax planning and systems improvements.

The Tax Assistant Manager will primarily be responsible for overseeing tax compliance across the Group, ensuring that filing and payment deadlines are met in all territories in which the Group operates as well as preparing the relevant tax disclosures for the UK and consolidated Group accounts. In addition, the role-holder will manage the tax cash flows, via monthly review and as part of the annual budgeting process. The role will involve working across several teams within the Group e.g. Finance, Treasury and Legal, and also with operational and commercial teams throughout the Group. The role is varied and will include supporting the Head of Tax and Tax Manager with ad hoc queries and the implementation of tax planning. It would suit a newly qualified Tax Senior or Tax Manager looking for their first move into industry.
This role is corporate tax focused but also includes VAT and R&D claims. Its a classic all round in-house role which includes compliance, tax reporting (including SAO) and advisory work.
