Tax Manager Germany

Our client is a global leader in its industry with many instantly recognisable brands. Germany is the largest market in the international company and the Frankfurt office is where critical roles of the organization are based including this newly created Tax Manager Germany.

Reporting to the Senior Manager EMEA Tax, the Tax Manager Germany is responsible for developing tax planning initiatives in the assigned markets and be a trusted advisor for the business in ad hoc initiatives. It will also be exposed to multinational projects in interaction with members of the Global Tax team and other Departments of the organisation. Other duties include corporate tax compliance for Germany, Austria and Poland, handling tax audits, transfer pricing, tax accounting & reporting (IFRS). The position interacts internally with various departments and externally with tax auditors and tax advisors.

You will need to have solid German corporate tax (at least 5 years) as well as tax accounting (ideally IFRS but US GAAP is also fine) from either a Big 4 tax advisory firm or similar commercial environment. Steuerberater qualification is preferred.
