Consultant (Online) Tax Training and Projects

IBFD Tax Services

IBFD Tax Services consists of three core business areas: International Tax Training, Tax Research Services and Government Services. The priority now is to serve our wide range of clients in the corporate, tax advisory and governmental sectors with online training offerings. We offer a wide range of courses in the field of international taxation, corporate taxation and VAT. Tax Research Services oversees the tailored research services (including data solutions) that IBFD provides to our clients. The services we provide include comparative surveys, analyses of tax consequences, country specific tax issues, monitoring and updates, technical opinions, as well as ongoing tax support. The Government Services IBFD provides to governments around the world, focusing in particular on tax and development initiatives.

Main responsibilities

The successful candidate is expected to have a client-facing role in responding to client requests for (online) training and research services, designing and implementing new training products, as well as delivering training and research projects across all areas of Tax Services.

 Strong ability to organize and maintain an external network of tax experts who will contribute to the Tax Services product and service development
 Managing clients and all aspects associated with the acquisition and delivery of training and research projects;
 Development of new training products and services that Tax Services can offer to clients;
 Generate new business opportunities for Tax Services;
 Manage, co-ordinate and deliver a portfolio of training courses/research projects/clients in Tax Services;
 Teach in all forms of courses (including webinars) organized by ITT; and
 Participate in government services projects as necessary.

Requirements and characteristics

Knowledge and experience
 A university degree in law, accountancy or economics or an equivalent qualification;
 An LLM or other post-graduate degree or qualification in international tax would be an advantage;
 At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in the area of tax, preferably within international tax departments of MNEs and/or in a tax advisory environment;
 High level of knowledge gained from practical experience in at least one (preferably two or more) of the following areas: corporate tax planning, transfer pricing, tax audits/compliance, VAT;
 Knowledge of and experience in developing and conducting online training products
 Fluent in English; fluency in one of the two following languages: French or Portuguese could have a preference
 Proven teaching, presentation and writing abilities.

Salary & fringe benefits

Depending on background and relevant work experience, we offer a salary between EUR 4,250 and EUR 5,000 (37 hrs), completed by an attractive package of fringe benefits, amongst others:

 Flexibility with 5.44% Personal Budget (individual choice to accumulate up to 33 days paid holiday per year or end-of-year bonus)
