One of the world’s most respected media outlets is seeking to appoint an International Tax Manager on a 12-month contract for maternity cover. This is a rare opportunity to join a well-regarded tax function, with option to go permanent (if you so wish) due to a couple of large, recent acquisitions.
The business is listed internationally and owns a multitude of instantly recognisable brands, with offices in over 30 jurisdictions and operations in over 40.
Responsibilities:
Advisory – Manage global tax risk. Advise on acquisitions and new JVs. Due diligence for potential acquisitions. Advise the business on changes to tax legislation.
Tax compliance – reviewing UK tax comps, stats provisioning, reporting and forecasting for half-yearlies. CFC reviews, R&D claims, controls and documentation.
Transfer pricing – CbC reporting. Reviewing TP docs. Operational TP. Monitoring new product lines to update advisors.
Requirements:
Candidates will have strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and be comfortable operating across a large number of jurisdictions, liaising with localised finance functions/advisors and acting as Country Tax Manager where required.
Ideally candidates will be ACA, ADIT, CTA or legal qualified but all candidate profiles will be considered. This role will require a very strong communicator, comfortable dealing with a wide variety of personnel.
