Assistant Manager - Indirect Tax - Milton Keynes
Simpson Booth are representing a leading Professional Services firm in London who are now looking to hire an Indirect Tax Assistant manager to work from their Milton Keynes office with some flexible / home working offered.
You would be joining one of the leading Indirect Tax practices in the UK - working as a National practice, providing advice and support in all aspects of Indirect Tax (VAT, Customs Duty, Green taxes) to a broad range of businesses. Sectors would include large multi-nationals, household name retailers and public sector organisations. The Indirect Tax practice is a fast-growing and dynamic business with plenty of career progression opportunities on offer.
Services to clients include pure advisory, opportunity and compliance reviews, due diligence and preparation of reclaims to HMRC. The team collaborates closely with colleagues from other areas of Tax such as Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing and People Services and in the wider advisory business to deliver value to clients.
There are significant growth plans in place over the next three years, therefore our client is keen to recruit motivated individuals with a commercial edge who are seeking a real challenge, at Assistant Manager level, to help them achieve their growth targets.
Roles and Responsibilities
You will be a key member of the team:
• Providing high quality Indirect Tax advisory services on a broad range of indirect tax issues to a wide range of clients
• Taking a key role in delivery of large client projects
• Maintaining, developing and ultimately managing strong relationships with clients
• Developing innovative solutions and opportunities for clients
• Assisting in the implementation of business development initiatives
• Developing more junior members of the team from both a technical and commercial perspective
• Working closely with senior managers, directors and partners who will provide you with the support and opportunities to assist you in realising your full potential
Qualifications
• ATT, ATII or CTA qualified or equivalent
You will be highly ambitious, take personal responsibility for your work, have excellent organisation & communication skills and the ability to build solid relationships with clients.
