Tax Investigations Manager, London

This London based practice has a thriving tax investigations team that works with a wide range of corporate clients and individuals on all manner of HMRC enquiries, including voluntary disclosures, Code of Practice 9 and Code of Practice 8 cases.

While the team has expanded in the past three years, additional talent is required to keep pace with the volume of existing and new client work.

The office environment is quite fast paced and energetic; the team consists of ex Big 4 and other large accountancy firm backgrounds, as well as home grown trainees.

Apart from a competitive basic salary, the real benefit of this role is the amount of autonomy that you will enjoy as a manager in this team.

You will work directly with clients and liaise with HMRC on their behalf; you will report directly to one of the senior management team and have the chance to get involved in business development and marketing pitches if you so wish, although there is plenty of work already in play, which means that this will not be an essential requirement of the job.

Suitable candidates will naturally be experienced in handling a wide range of tax investigations work in their career to date, communicating with clients in person, over the phone and in writing and making representations to HMRC when applicable.
