Tax Senior Manager & Partner Designate Job, Independent CA Firm, Scottish Borders & Edinburgh, £negotiable

Your new company
Your new company is an independent CA firm with over 30 employees operating across 5 offices located from Langholm to Edinburgh; one of the largest accountancy firms in the Scottish Borders. With clients spread across England and Scotland, the firm offer their staff great variety alongside the opportunity to impact local businesses and economy. Due to increasing business the firm has been consistently growing, and as a result, they are looking to recruit a Senior Manager who will progress to Partner over the short to medium term.

Your new role
As the Senior Tax Manager, and prospective Tax Partner, you will be responsible for a diverse Tax Team of 6 operating across numerous sites.You will review the work carried out my more junior members of the team as well as managing your own portfolio which will be largely private client advisory work, including Inheritance and Capital Gains Tax matters. You will also support the Partners with particularly complex Tax technical work, and collaborate in order to develop the Practice from a Tax and wider perspective.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be CTA qualified, or CA qualified with the strong desire to gain the CTA qualification, with a proven track record in a Chartered Accountancy firm operating within the Tax remit. As a prospective Tax Partner you will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with a pro-active nature and creative mindset.
