In-House Corporate Tax Job in London, Insurance, Indirect Tax and excellent career development.
Job Purpose:
* To assist the Head of Tax in the Reporting & Compliance aspects of Tax in the International Division
* Create and maintain tax reports from Management Information System
* To liaise with Corporate Tax function on various reporting requirements
* Liaison with internal & external auditors for year end audits
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting and Analysis for UK Tax:
* Analyse the P&L Expense classification for all UK companies for tax purposes
* Analyse Capital Expenditure for tax purposes
* Assist in the preparation of the Payroll Settlement Agreement (PSA) calculation
* Maintain the procedure manual
Reporting to US Tax Department:
* Analysis of Profit & Loss and Technical Reserves by location for US tax purposes
* Tax True Up calculations and journal postings
* Co-ordinate quarterly information requests from US tax team
Transfer Pricing:
* Maintain the list of inter-company trading transactions
* Confirm agreement to General Ledger
* Analysis of inter-company management charges
* Review of draft Transfer Pricing reports in European offices
Other:
* Maintain and update the procedure manual.
* Ensure that all tasks are performed within the documented processes and procedures and propose process changes where necessary.
* Calculation of Tax figures for Solvency II reporting.
* Assistance with preparation and/or review of premium taxes.
* Ad hoc project work as required and cover for other team members.
Essential
* Degree (ideally a business, finance or numeric degree) with minimum 3 years work experience post university.
* Accounting qualification, part or fully qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
* Good understanding of accounting principles and interdependencies with tax
* Familiarity with tax accounting
* IT literate with intermediate Excel
* Good communication skills

* Insurance Industry experience
* Alphatax Tax Software experience
* Tax qualification
* PeopleSoft General Ledger experience
* Exposure to premium taxes
