In house – Tax Advisory Senior Manager role – up to £95k, London

This Financial Services group is a world leader in the Insurance industry. The UK office is based in the City of London and the group is looking for someone to come on to focussing on a range of tax advisory issues, reporting directly into the Head of Tax. This is a senior position within the organisation, and you will have the autonomy to liaise with senior management on a range of tax advisory issues.
Duties will include:
• Working directly with the Head of Tax on a range of tax advisory projects
• Having a detailed knowledge of US GAAP issues, and being able to advise accordingly
• Woking closely with the European Head of Tax and the wider leadership
• Advise on any uncertain tax areas and the best way to tackle any potential issues
• Monitoring high risk areas of tax for the wider organisation, with a particular focus on US GAAP
• Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders including professional advisors and HMRC
About you:
• ICAEW/ICAS qualified
• CTA qualified preferred, but not essential
• Experience dealing with US GAAP is essential
• UK Direct Tax background
• Proven international tax track record
• Big 4 training preferred
• While Insurance/Financial Services sector specific experience is advantageous the main criteria is experience dealing with US GAAP issues, so industry background is not essential
Compensation:
• Basic salary up to £95,000
