Banking & Capital Markets - Tax Senior Manager - £98, 000

Leading Big 4 firm is looking for a Senior Manager to join their successful team in Banking and Capital Markets Tax. This is one of the world’s leading professional services organisations working with leading clients. The firm’s global network enables them to advise not only UK institutions, but also many of the largest international players.

The team provide advice to a wide variety of institutions, including many of the biggest names in the market. The client base is broad, including retail, commercial, investment, private and custody banks, as well as building societies, exchanges, boutique financial institutions/brokers, and private equity firms. Their services are varied, and the team includes sector specialists in both direct and indirect taxes, transfer pricing, international structuring and employment taxes.

The recent uptick in transactional activity, coupled with various sector specific tax and structural issues, have triggered strong demand for the firm’s services in the market, particularly for M&A projects. The team have growth objectives and successful candidates will have good potential for career development.

Skills required:
- ACA/ATT/CTA or equivalent
- Lead on complex projects, coach and mentor
- Experience running M&A and/or other transactional engagements
- Interest in the banking and broader financial service sector

Banking specific experience would be a bonus, but not essential (particularly for a candidate without a tax background). Private equity experience would also be considered an advantage (although not essential).
