Job Description:
Markets
• Identifies potential client deliverables and lead the preparation of such items.
• Reviews and finalises deliverables prepared by junior team members.
• Identifies relevant external discussion groups and seek to influence professional debates.
• Is the expert in designated specialist areas.
• Acts as an 'ambassador' of the firm demonstrating knowledge of Grant Thornton products and services as well as sector/industry understanding.
• Develops contacts with Grant Thornton in other service lines.
People
• Plays an active role in the NAS team and contributes to positive morale.
• Works in line with the firm's CLEARR and quality values, of collaboration, leadership, excellence, agility, respect and responsibility.
• Seeks regular feedback and identifies and acts upon learning and development needs in order to develop technical and personal skills.
• People manager responsibilities (where relevant); manages, motivates, reviews performance, coaches and mentors managers and executives.
• Has a very good, continuing range of technical knowledge appropriate to the specific role.
Clients
• Provides ad hoc subject matter support to those covering technical queries and reviews.
• Contributes to reviews of engagement teams' queries and hot reviews, and supervisory reviews where appropriate.
• Leads the writing of any relevant reports on the subject matter area.
• Leads the writing of any relevant technical circulars, on a range of subject matters.
• Is prepared to present or support presenters on subject matter at both internal and external events and training.
• Liaises with sector embedded technical experts where relevant.
• Drafts any consultation responses or other professional material to do with that subject matter area and reviews output of junior team members.
• Keeps up to date with the current professional debates surrounding topic area.
Operations
• Contributes to the smooth running of the department, by suggesting and implementing any process improvements.
• Complies with the department's internal risk management processes.
• Inputs to departmental strategic direction via team meetings and discussions.
• Shares experience and knowledge with the rest of the NAS team and the practices
