Interim Accountant, Edinburgh

Change Recruitment Group are delighted to have partnered with a well-known, interesting and respected organisation based in Edinburgh who have a need for a qualified Accountant to join their team for a fixed term period of 3 months.
Candidates considered must have a relevant professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CA or CIMA) combined with solid post-qualifying experience of working in an accounting environment along with prior experience of directly supervising staff.

You must be highly proficient in the use of IT packages and be an advanced user of spreadsheets such as Excel with the ability to assimilate and adapt quickly to new packages and other information technologies and systems.

You will also have proven up to date professional knowledge, proactive horizon scanning for changes in legislation, accounting standards, GAAP, processes and techniques, with the ability to interpret and apply these principles and advise others.

You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and easily able to communicate Finance messages and information to both financial and non-financial people.

Core duties and responsibilities:
· Monthly reporting
· Preparation and review of Budgets and Forecasts
· Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts
· Full VAT management and reporting
· Fixed Assets
· Expenses management and control
· Communicating with External Auditors and management
· Development of Finance policies and procedures
