Interim Senior Tax Manager in Bedford

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join this dynamic FTSE listed organisation that through acquisition continues to grow and is therefore going through a period of change. This will be for an initial 3-6 months contract to cover maternity leave.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Tax Manager job will include:
-Manage a team of 4 to deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframe
-Build relationships and interact with internal and external customers to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise
-Provide innovative tax planning
-Identify and mitigate tax risks through developing and refining business processes, to ensure robust end-to-end procedures are in place to mitigate risk
-Manage and coordinate tax audits from HMRC for all taxes, co-ordinate with HMRC regarding inspections and enquiries, and annual Risk Review meetings
-Be the Tax lead to ensure the successful implementation of the Oracle ERP system for tax purposes. This includes contributing to design, testing, developing new business processes in line with the new system and new operating structure.

The ideal Senior Tax Manager will possess the following attributes/skills:
-Experience supervising teams within Group functions and a SSC environment in a complex business structure
-3+ years proven working experience as tax manager in a professional environment, or Big4 Tax practice
-3+ years' experience in accounting processes, experience in a range of accounting areas, financial computer systems and knowledge of accounting legislation
-Expert knowledge in tax fields relevant to role - ability to understand complex tax positions and manage complaint solutions accordingly
-Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns
