Upstream Tax Accountant

Your new company
Our client is a global energy company with assets all over the world. The tax team in Aberdeen is currently seeking a Tax Accountant, ideally with upstream experience to come on board and work in the areas of Corporate Tax and Petroleum Revenue Tax.

Your new role
As Tax Accountant / Tax Advisor, you will be responsible for advising on all UK tax matters, particularly the preparation of Corporate income tax returns and Petroleum Revenue Tax. You will have responsibility for quarterly tax accruals, and you will assist with preparing the annual and quarterly tax budget / forecast. There will be an opportunity to get involved in internal and external tax audits, and provide tax advice to the business regarding commercial activities.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be educated to degree level and will be CA or ACCA qualified, CTA would be ideal but not essential. You will have a strong background in tax accounting for current and deferred taxation, as well as a solid working knowledge of UK tax legislation. The ideal candidate will have experience of upstream taxation.
