Tax Manager for Fast Growing Retail Bank, London

This new role will be responsible for coordinating UK tax compliance and assisting with technical support relating to the Bank's UK business, including; Corporation Tax, Transfer Pricing, VAT, Employment Taxes, Withholding Tax and Transactional Tax.

Responsibilities:

* Improving, establishing and maintaining processes, systems and instructions to ensure that Branches, Regional Banks and the UK Head Office meet all necessary tax requirements.
* Ensuring the accurate preparation, analysis, reporting and payment of all taxes.
* Considering the tax implications of any changes in the business, including new products.
* Managing tax risk and highlighting financial variations or implications brought about by changes, actual or potential, in legislation or HMRC policy to management.
* Development of tax competence, training and awareness throughout the business.
* Supporting the Head of Finance in managing external relationships, including HMRC and external advisors.
* The successful candidate will report directly to the UK Head of Tax.

Qualifications:

* The candidate should hold the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), the ICAEW Chartered Accountant (ACA), or similar qualification.
* Previous experience of tax accounting is crucial for this role.
* They should be self-motivated, willing to take responsibility and demonstrate initiative.
* A strong technical tax background, experience with cross functional working and a proven track record is an essential requirement for this role.
* The candidate should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
