Indirect tax includes VAT, customs duty, excise duty and environmental taxes. Our national Indirect Tax practice advises a very wide range of clients, from large corporates to start-ups to the public sector. Our VAT practice is the largest part of the Indirect Tax function.

VAT represents a key factor in a business's cash flow and potentially a real bottom line cost. Constantly evolving case law, statute and HMRC guidance makes compliance a continuous challenge. Less than excellent house-keeping can result in penalties, damaged reputation and/or missed opportunities. Effectively managing both the risks and opportunities surrounding VAT is key.
