VAT Manager job with Top 10 Firm in Southampton

You will be working for a Top 10 Firm, a leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services to middle market leaders, globally. With around 3,500 partners and staff in the UK and access to more than 37,500 people in over 110 countries across the firm's network.
Your new role
Working as a VAT Manager within the firm's Tax Department, based in the Southampton office, your role will focus on clients' VAT affairs.
You will manage and control a substantial portfolio of clients ensuring their VAT affairs comply with statutory requirements and managing all compliance work.
In addition you play an active role in the growth and development of this service line, attending seminars and networking events, researching and preparing proposals for new work, developing client relationships, as well as sharing your knowledge and experience in the field of VAT with junior members of your team.What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be an accomplished Tax practitioner with experience of operating at Manager level, ideally with a professional tax qualification.
You will need to demonstrate a broad and significant technical knowledge of VAT, with a particular focus on compliance procedures.
