Our client, a top 10 firm, are looking for an Assistant Tax Manager to join their Gatwick office. The firm is looking for someone to provide assistance to Directors/Partners in both client work and in the management of the group. A very strong remuneration package is on offer to the right candidate.
The Role
The role will involve providing Tax compliance and advisory services for a wide variety of clients. Your primary responsibility will be dealing with all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of clients. You will also provide assistance to Director/Principals/Partners in both client work and in the management of the group.
Responsibilities
● Manage a portfolio of clients including control of billings and cash collection within the firms criteria
● Responsible for all day-to-day tax compliance affairs of clients, as well as being involved with related advisory matters
● Ensure assignments are completed within agreed budgets and keep Client/Partner informed of overruns
● Liaise with HMRC
● Review of work prepared by more junior members of staff
● Ensure that the firm’s quality control procedures are adhered to as appropriate
● Responsible for project delivery
The Candidate
● CTA and ACA qualified or able to demonstrate relevant experience
● Significant experience within tax compliance
● Tax advisory experience (ideal but not essential)
● Experience managing staff
● Ability to manage a small client portfolio
● Some experience of dealing with client senior management
● Demonstrable post qualified experience
