Tax Accountant – in-house - £65k (Herts)

Nebula Partners are working with a leading financial services provider based in Hertfordshire to help them to identify a tax specialist to join their growing team.

You’ll join a small tax team, supporting the head of tax and senior managers and working alongside other tax accountants. You’ll take responsibility for compliance for the UK division for all taxes bar corporation tax, which is performed by another tax accountant.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing the quarterly VAT reporting process
• Leading the VAT partial exemption recovery process
• Submitting various non-CT tax returns (e.g. application of overseas premium tax)
• Employer tax compliance support to HR and other business functions
• Supporting tax strategy and SAO compliance
• Ad hoc support on projects (of which there are many).

The core skill set is indirect tax and experience of partial exemption is particularly useful. Experience of the other areas is useful but not essential if you’re interested in expanding your skill set.
