I am currently working with a top 20 accountancy practice who are recruiting for an experienced senior or supervisor to join the Tax department in Nottingham.
The company provide a range of taxation, audit and business advisory services to a wide range of clients. As well as sole-traders and partnerships, the firm also manages the affairs of some large businesses with more complex, technical requirements.
As well as a strong and varied portfolio of compliance based work, the tax team provide a wide range of tax advice to both existing and new client opportunities across the spectrum of taxes.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be dealing primarily with personal tax compliance and advisory work, including the completion of complex tax returns, advising on payment of tax liabilities and meeting / corresponding with both clients and HMRC. The candidate will undertake the supervision of junior members and support the partners and senior members of the tax team in providing advice on specific tax planning opportunities.
Person Specification:
• Sound experience of managing a personal tax portfolio in a professional firm (essential)
• Previous involvement in meeting with clients and providing tax advice
• Expected to be ATT / CTA qualified, or equivalent
