The Role
A multi-award winning Top 30 firm are looking for a qualified or part-qualified Corporation Tax expert in a primarily compliance focused role with the opportunity to get involved in ad hoc advisory work on occasion. This role offers genuine potential for progression, with the opportunity to take over management of a client portfolio as you become more experienced.
Responsibilities will include;
- Collating information supplied by clients or other teams, checking completeness of information and bringing missing information and anomalies to the attention of senior staff;
- Overseeing and preparing corporation tax returns and computations for manager review using Alphatax
- Reviewing work of junior staff
- Drafting client correspondence for review
- Electronically filing tax returns
- Administration of Corporate Tax compliance together with ad-hoc advisory tasks
- Occasional supervision of junior staff
- Developing technical expertise, progressing against technical competencies and progressing through professional exams
The Candidate
- Qualified ATT. Part qualified CTA desirable. ACA/ACCA (part qualified considered)
- Strong academic background
- Sound grasp of corporation tax compliance, including identifying tax sensitive items in client records and assessing available capital allowances
- Approachable team player with strong communication skills
- Driven, resilient self-starter
- Honest and ethical
