Based in central London, this hugely successful Asset Management company, have a current need for a interim Tax Manager. You will report to the Finance Director, working in a small team, managing all the corporate tax affairs for the group. The role will provide a strong tax compliance framework support to the Group.

Key Interim Tax Manager responsibilities:

Partnership and Corporate Taxation

* Establish a framework to ensure the tax risk exposure of the Group remains low.
* Establish a framework for the OECD Base Erosion and Profit Shifting Project, including the review and update of transfer pricing documentation and County by Country Reporting
* Liaise with HMRC including assisting enquiries and applications for non-statutory clearance
* Preparation of VAT returns and PSA agreements
* Manage the preparation and process of Corporate Tax Returns for UK and Australian entities
* Monitoring UK and relevant international tax developments, the drafting of tax position documents and validation by service providers
* Manage the preparation and process of UK, US Federal and US State Partnership taxation returns and their timely distribution to the Groups Partners and their tax accountants

Fund Taxation

* Review the current fund tax framework and recommend and implement any changes required.
* Ensure the tax compliance for all the Groups Funds. This involves managing the tax service providers for funds domiciled in Luxembourg, United States, Guernsey and Australia as well as legacy funds domiciled in Cayman, Dublin, Mauritius and Cyprus
* Monitor and ensure compliance with international transaction taxes (CGT/WHT) across all (38) emerging market countries where client funds are invested
* Develop a framework and manage the governance of the Group's Fund's Automatic Exchange of Information including FATCA, CDOT and CRS reporting by service providers
* Maintain an effective control framework to manage risk, mitigate errors, breaches and prevent
* complaints

Essential Experience and Professional Qualifications

* Relevant professional qualification (ACA, CTA or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience
* Strong knowledge of the UK tax environment
* Qualified to degree level
* The following experience is desirable, though not essential; experience within the UK asset management industry, experience of UK and US Partnerships, Operational tax compliance experience including FATCA and experience of International transaction taxes.

* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain relationships with colleagues
* Able to work in a small team and get involved in a hands-on capacity
* Ability to remain calm when working under pressure
* An interest in developing expertise in all tax related areas across the UK and other jurisdictions in which the business operates
* Able to conduct independent research and draft tax position documents which are both technically accurate and accessible
