Assistant Automation Tax Manager, 12 month contract, East Midlands

Key responsibilities

* This is a Transitional 12 month project based role to assist the tax team in automating processes in the tax department with specific focus on capital allowances.
* You will with advisors to review the current system CAD, to see if any further improvements can be made, possible alternative solutions and review of historic capital allowance claims, to look for further allowances as well as coordinate implementation of any changes/ alternative solutions.
* Assist Head of Corporation Tax with half and full year reporting in relation to capital allowances, capital gains computations and utilisation of roll over relief.
* Consider with the tax team opportunities to insource and/or automate other processes, including for example preparation of the VAT return and partial exemption calculations, the corporation tax returns, half and full year reporting, research and development and patent box claims etc.

* About you
* You will be ACA/CTA qualified ideally with technical capital allowance knowledge.
* Knowledge of CAD (Tax Automation's capital assets database) or other similar capital allowance systems.
* Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
