Tax Manager

Our client pioneered their product in the UK over 30 years ago and has one of the most recognisable brands and products in UK accountancy. The company has worked with over 600,000 UK businesses and individuals. The company is a market leader in their field and has grown by nearly 300% in the last seven years. They work with thousands of accountancy firms across the UK including 10 of the "Top 20" firms.

Due to further expansion and growth our client is seeking a Tax Manager to join their business. This would be a very interesting role for someone who likes working in tax but has had enough of working with time sheets and would like to develop new skills!

With overall responsibility for the Claims Team supervising a team of three, the successful candidate will deal with claims incurred by Taxpayers in the event they are selected for enquiry by HMRC and will also provide tax advice to accountancy clients. The selected candidate will ultimately be responsible for the approval of all claims and will hold webinars/seminars throughout the year.

The client is seeking a candidate with commercial sensibility and a good background gained in tax.

It is essential that the individual is technically competent but full training as necessary will be provided in respect of policy working and the enquiry regime.

There will be a significant amount of contact with Accountants, both over the telephone and face to face and for that reason we are seeking a confident, professional and approachable individual with a good sense of humour!
