This mid sized firm has a strong reputation for the quality of it's tax practice with a particular focus on private client work. The benefits of this role are several fold. You would be providing high level technical support to one particular partner whose client base consists of a small number of clients with extreme wealth and complex tax and financial affairs. The work is incredibly interesting, both technically stimulating and varied. In addition, you would be a technical resource for the wider firm providing back up and acting as a sounding board for the other private client tax partners. The firm is currently looking at succession planning so those individuals looking to progress through to partnership and with the right skill set, will be well placed for admission given the clear route through.
The firm has an enjoyable working environment, the organisation is sociable and recruits individuals who work well together as a team. Although the tax team is hugely busy and committed to their clients, there is a sensible regard for work/life balance.
You should be qualified and with a strong technical ability in private client tax advisory work gained within good quality mid to large accounting firms or the equivalent. Given the firm's commitment to find the right person for this key role, they are open to level and are therefore flexible on salary banding. It could feasibly be someone with 1-2 years experience as a senior manager or someone with far longer in post;as this is an additional role, the brief can be tailored accordingly.
