Mixed Tax Semi Senior, Sheffield, to £25k + study support

CRA Financial are delighted to be working in partnership with one of Sheffield's leading independent practice of Chartered Accountants based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, who are looking to appoint an Tax Semi Senior.

My client provides full range of accounting, business advisory and taxation services including highly innovative accounting and business solutions. You will be joining a close-knit team of experienced professionals, the firm have an excellent client base throughout the South Yorkshire region which ranges from growing owner managed businesses through to large corporate entities.

The Role

Working within this specialist team you will get all-round exposure to a broad selection of tax work at a compliance level, allowing you to progress on to undertaking more complex tax advice and tax planning work in the future. Main duties and responsibilities include:

* Carrying out all relevant work for a mixed portfolio of tax clients, including corporate, VAT and personal tax.
* Completion of Corporate Tax and Self-assessment Tax returns.
* Submission of returns to HMRC.
* Handling HMRC enquiries.
* Assisting with advisory and tax planning assignments.
* Responding to technical queries from other departments.

The Person

This is an enviable opportunity and the position at hand is an excellent career development role; my client is looking for someone with at least a year prior tax experience within practice. Ideally, the successful candidate will be ATT / AAT qualified, or a finalist, but this is not essential. Full study support towards professional tax qualification will be provided, either for ATT or CTA, all costs will be included plus additional leave for tuition, revision and exams.
