Our client is top tier consulting firm, and with a highly successful team operating in the VAT / indirect tax operations field. Due to strong pipeline of projects with some high profile corporate clients, they now seek a technically strong VAT / indirect tax specialist with solid commercial experience to take a client facing Manager role in the team.
Key activities and responsibilities will include:
Providing high quality Indirect Tax advisory services on a broad range of indirect tax issues to a wide range of clients
Leading and managing large client projects
Delegating work to and reviewing work carried out by junior members of the team
Maintaining, developing and ultimately managing strong relationships with clients
Developing innovative VAT based solutions and opportunities for clients
Assisting in the implementation of business development initiatives
Developing and managing more junior members of the team from both a technical and commercial perspective
Working closely with senior managers, directors and partners who will provide you with the support and opportunities to assist you in realising your full potential
In order to match with the requirements of this role, you will have substantial experience to date in the VAT field, and ideally with experience of advising large-end clients on cross-border VAT transactions and supply chain issues. You may have developed this experience within a Big 4 / Top 10 consulting firm or operating within an in-house tax / VAT operations team in industry. If in industry, you will be recognised as an indirect tax specialist within the company, being a large multinational / FTSE / European HQ group. Also VAT compliance and process experience gained within a shared services environment of a multinational group could be highly valuable. In addition, a knowledge and strong appreciation of how VAT data works within a SAP / Oracle system and use of Excel for data extraction would be a strong advantage to success in the role.
