The role requires a level of experience (in-house and practice) which will allow you to influence Firm's tax position in the Asia Region dealing with Asia Partners & the Head of Finance for Asia whilst working effectively with COOs for each region whilst reporting to Head of Tax in London.
The individual will be the key contact for all Asia Region tax issues managing the tax compliance for the Firm's offices, partners and transferees in Asia. This role covers all taxes including income tax, corporate tax, sales taxes, withholding taxes and social security and global tax issues such as transfer pricing/ BEPS.
The individual will also be responsible for monitoring and managing the Firm's exposure to tax risk across the region, identifying and implementing tax efficient structures whilst liaising with other members of T&P and other GHO functions to develop solutions to structural issues that are both commercially viable and do not negatively impact the Firm's regulatory and tax position as a whole
The ideal candidate will be incredibly comfortable in co-coordinating people, processes/external advisor and all relevant stakeholders.
Experience in the Asian market is not a pre-requisite, but you must have significant experience in coordinating another region (e.g. EMEA) and be capable of demonstrating transfer-ability and technical agility. The company in question is a partnership structure but having experience from an complicated global business is absolutely fine.
