International Tax Attorney or CPA (Private Wealth – 10 Years PQE) – Washington DC

Here at “International Tax Search” we have been commissioned by a ten staff specialist boutique international law and accountancy firm to help them locate and hire an international tax CPA or attorney who has a focus on high net worth individuals and their sophisticated cross border tax planning issues. The role is to be based out of their Washington DC office.

Since the establishment of the firm in 2007 they have focussed their efforts in providing high level services to high net worth individuals in South Florida, Washington DC and Texas. Services they provide include pre-immigration tax planning, offshore tax compliance, treaty based estate tax planning, Estate and Gift tax planning as well as offshore voluntary disclosures and succession planning.

The firm seeks an entrepreneurial minded individual who thrives in small work environments and has ambitions of becoming a future partner of the firm. The firm believes that the opportunities are endless in their space and so require someone who can think big but also place close attention to the details.
You will need to have 10-15 years private client / private wealth tax experience with a focus on international individuals. You would have worked in either a CPA firm or law firm setting and dealt with a range of international tax issues for HNWI’s. Strong compliance experience would be advantageous and exposure to international corporate work would also be advantageous. Experience dealing with CFC’s PFIC would also be desirable.

Work for individuals: Annual tax compliance work. Complex international tax planning for individuals. Treaty based tax planning is their main bread and butter. CPA firms tend to have a lack of treaty knowledge. Streamlined and OVDP work.
