Tax Dispute Resolution Senior - London

Change Recruitment Group are working with a public accountancy firm in London to assist them in the recruitment a Tax Dispute Resolution Senior. Whilst tax advisory and forensic experience is preferred, strong tax professionals with a UK corporate tax background looking to specialise in forensics will also be considered.

As a Senior, you will be required to use your previous tax experience and you will gain an understanding and experience in Tax Dispute Resolution (TDR) work, including complex enquiries and voluntary disclosures to reach a satisfactory settlement between the client and H M Revenue & Customs.

Responsibilities
· Assist a Director or Manager with the preparation of tax disclosure reports, including all computational aspects of the report, for submission to H M Revenue & Customs
· Accompany managers to meetings with clients and/or H M Revenue & Customs as required, and assist with the preparation for and follow-up from such meetings
· Assist with general correspondence, administration (including billing) and ad hoc projects within the department
· Collate and analyse relevant documentation and information supplied and draft sections of a tax disclosure report
· Present and produce high quality schedules and appendices for inclusion in a tax disclosure report
· Prepare computations of tax, interest and penalties payable
· Analyse complex documents requiring the ability to review and identify key issues and offer robust opinions in respect of those issues
· Supervise, coach and develop more junior members of the team
· Participate in sales and marketing activities
· Start to develop a network of professional and business contacts
· Support and assist managers, directors and partners on ad hoc projects and department administration

Requirements:
· CTA/ACA qualified or equivalent
· Experience of working on cases in a tax department
· Experience of tax enquiries and investigations is desirable but not essential
· Minimum of 3 years’ tax experience gained from a Big 4, Top 10 or Top 20 firm
