This world wide hospitality business is looking for a new Group Tax Manager to join the team. The role will be varied and cover both compliance and advisory work. Looking at projects based in the UK and overseas.

• Responsibility for review and sign off/submission of corporation tax computations for up to 40 UK companies;
• Review and management of procedures and the documentation process for cross-charging license fees, management services and inter-group loan interest between UK and overseas subsidiaries, to ensure compliance with transfer pricing legislation.
• Management of relationship with HMRC, and correspondence re any enquiries;
• Overall management of process of quarterly forecasting and reporting the Group’s effective tax rate and reporting tax provision under UK GAAP and IFRS in the UK and Group accounts;
• review of CFCs, and testing various CFC exemptions available to overseas subsidiaries;
• Managed process of compilation of documented VAT and employee tax procedures;
• Responsible for review of the UK daily funds position and for approval of investment of funds with various counterparties;
• Review of documentation relating to loans to overseas subsidiaries;
• Recommendation of strategies for hedging interest and foreign exchange rate risk;
• Management of funds transfers between UK and overseas group companies;

• ACA, ACCA, CTA qualified or equivalent
• Proven tax training, direct or indirect, ideally from Big 4
• Ability to project manage and innovate
• Highly IT literate with tax technology experience and advanced level MS Excel
• Experience in developing/ improving systems and processes
• Good understanding of finance and accounting principles including performance reporting, statutory accounting, business planning and forecasting
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and concise manner.
