About The Opportunity
A recognized wealth management firm on Long Island is actively seeking an experienced Fiduciary Tax Associate for a great opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Fiduciary Tax Associate will be responsible for comprehensive fiduciary tax assignments that will consist of all aspects involved with the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns, estimated payments and projections for non-grantor trusts, grantor trusts, charitable remainder trusts and private foundations.

The Fiduciary Tax Associate will:
Work closely with Senior Members of the fiduciary tax group, client account managers, clients and outside advisors
Research various federal and state tax issues, utilizing internet research tools
Correspond with various tax authorities
Analyze and interpret trust instruments and other pertinent documents, including GST analysis
REQUIRED SKILLS
3+ years of Fiduciary Tax experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Familiarity with ProSystem fx and OneSource Tax software
Microsoft Office/Suite proficient (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
Desired Skills
Experience with Hedge fund K-1’s, ESBT’s and State nexus issues
